Nothing here says Sudowrite cannot do something. Software changes, and prices change faster, so if one row is the reason you are choosing, check it on both before you buy.
The whole number
Sudowrite's published price for Hobby & Student is $10 a month billed annually, or $19 billed monthly, with a monthly credit allowance for the AI (checked against sudowrite.com and its plans documentation, 28 August 2026). Four years is $480 to $912. A ChapterMuse Studio licence is £48 once including UK VAT, and its AI credits are bought only when you use them and never expire. That is the arithmetic to run if you are weighing a Sudowrite alternative.
The catch in Sudowrite's pitch
Generating more sentences is not the same as making a better novelist.
Sudowrite's central promise is that the machine can draft, expand and rewrite fiction for you. That solves the blank page by filling it with somebody else's statistical answer, then leaves you to decide which borrowed sentences sound enough like you to keep. ChapterMuse does the harder and more useful job: it helps you see the book you are actually writing. Muse finds evidence, continuity problems and unanswered questions without impersonating the author. You leave with stronger judgment and a manuscript whose sentences are still yours.
