Can Chapter Check help with "a" and "the"?

Hello all. Short question.

In Polish we have no articles. So after 16 years here I still put "the" where it must be "a", or nothing where it must be "the". My wife finds them when she reads my chapters, but she is tired of it.

Chapter Check finds my spelling very well. Does it also find this kind of mistake? Or I must learn it properly, finally.

    hiya! not an expert but the Grammar part of Chapter Check is proper grammar checking, not just spelling, so def worth running it and seeing what it flags. check it's set to English (UK) at the top of the panel too

    it probably won't catch every single one though. articles are SO context dependent. native speakers can't even explain half of them 😅

    Agree with Jordan. Run it on a chapter where you know there are a few and see what it flags. That will tell you more than any of us guessing.

    One more idea: Read Aloud. Once the voice is installed it runs on your own computer, and a missing "the" is much easier to hear than to see. It highlights each paragraph as it reads, so you can follow along.

    Also, for what it's worth, your English in the dialogue thread was clearer than half my work emails.

    Thank you both. I tried it on chapter 4 and it found two. I think there are more, my wife will tell me.

    Read Aloud I did not know. I will try it tonight with headphones, when I am parked.

    And thank you for kind words about my English. My son will not believe it.
